Open Journal System (OJS) is open-source software released under the open-source GPL v2 license. You are free to download, use, and modify it at no charge. OJS is made freely available to journals worldwide for the purpose of making open access publishing a viable option for more journals, as open access can increase a journal’s readership as well as its contribution to the public good on a global scale (see PKP Publications).

Note: you need to have your own website to run this software. If you do not want to run the software on a website of your own, Researchtools.eu offers a fee-based service that provides the installation and hosting of OJS, as well as performing daily backups of your data on our semi-dedicated servers of ultimate performance. Ask us how.

Why is this software free? OJS is free because it is provided free of charge by its creators (PKP Publications). However, if you want us to make the setup on your website we will ask for a fee. Furthermore, if you do not want to run the software on a website of your own, we offer a fee-based service that provides the installation and hosting of OJS.
